  • The Collateral Manager will oversee the entire collateral management process for the bank’s SME and corporate lending portfolios.
  • This includes assessing, monitoring, and valuing collateral to ensure proper risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Collateral Assessment and Valuation:

  • Evaluate and value collateral.
  • Coordinate with third-party valuers.
  • Maintain accurate collateral records.

Collateral Monitoring and Management:

  • Implement collateral monitoring processes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits.
  • Manage the collateral release process.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate collateral-related risks.
  • Develop strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Prepare reports on collateral performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Review and enhance collateral management processes.
  • Implement best practices and leverage technology.
  • Provide training to staff.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with credit, legal, and operations teams.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external valuers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate reports on collateral portfolios and performance.
  • Provide insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure timely reporting to management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in collateral management or related areas.
  • Understanding of SME and corporate lending, and collateral valuation methods.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in collateral management systems and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
