WAEC Physics Practical Specimens 2024 Components
WAEC Physics Practical examination specimens are drawn from 3 key areas, these includes
- Mechanics : Mechanics is the branch of physics that deals with the study of motion and forces. The specimens in this area may include objects such as pulleys, inclined planes, springs, and pendulums. Students will be required to perform experiments to measure quantities like mass, length, and time, and analyze the relationship between them.
- Optics: Optics is the branch of physics that focuses on the behavior and properties of light. The specimens in this area may include lenses, prisms, mirrors, and other optical devices. Students may be asked to perform experiments to investigate phenomena such as reflection, refraction, and the formation of images.
- Electricity: Electricity is another important area in the WAEC Physics Practical examination. The specimens in this area may include circuits, resistors, capacitors, and other electrical components. Students may be required to construct circuits, measure electrical quantities like voltage and current, and analyze the behavior of various electrical devices.

WAEC Physics Practical Specimens 2024 Questions
1. Study the diagrams below and use them as a guide in carrying out the following instructions
(i) using the spring balance provided, determine the weight of the object of mass M = 50g in air. Record the weight as W1 (ii) determine the weight of the object when it is completely immersed in water contained in a beaker as shown in the diagram above. Record the weight as W2 (iii) determine the weight of the object when it is completely immersed in the liquid labeled L. Record the weight as W3 (IV) evaluate U = (WI-W2) and V = (W1-W3) (v) repeat the procedure with objects of masses M = 100g, 150g, 200g and 250g (vi) in each case evaluate U = (WI-W2) and V = (W1-W3)
