Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Site Accountant to manage and oversee the financial operations at our construction site.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for budget management, cost tracking, payroll processing, and financial reporting to ensure the project’s financial goals are met.
- This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of construction finance, and the ability to work closely with project managers and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the site’s financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Process payroll for site workers and handle expense reimbursements.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs stay within budget.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit/loss statements and cash flow analyses.
- Reconcile accounts, including vendor payments, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate tracking of materials and equipment expenses.
- Provide financial insights to project managers to support decision-making.
- Assist in auditing processes and ensure timely submission of financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of cost control, project accounting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- This role is based at a construction site, requiring regular interaction with site personnel and project managers.
