Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to applicable safety standards (e.g, Explosive rules,MSMD, and local laws).
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessment in the explosive handling and storage areas.
- Develop, implement and enforce site-specific safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct safety training programs for all personnels.
- Develop strategies for mitigating risks identified during investigations or inspections.
- Evaluate and improve safety equipment and PPE compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety & fire Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
- Certification in advanced Safety training.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial safety.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation
- Physically fit
- Candidates within Kaduna or close proximity is an added advantage.
