Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, machinery, and motors.
- Implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment downtime and resolution times.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance and maintenance trends.
- Supervise and coach the electrical team to ensure optimal performance.
- Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
- Enter data into the ERP system for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data, prepare spare reorder levels, and track department performance.
- Ensure efficient operation of both renewable and non-renewable power sources, including gas generators.
Qualifications
- B.Sc or HND Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the electrical field
- Preferred 7 years of experience
- Proven ability to manage electrical operations in a heavy industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical equipment, machinery, and systems
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in resolving operational bottlenecks and improving efficiency
- Ability to plan and manage preventive maintenance programs
- Strong financial management skills to operate within budget.
