According to MTN public relation officer, only students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education) in their 300 level are eligibile to apply.

Who Is Eligible To Apply
- STS is open to 300 level students studying Science & Technology related courses, in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
- SBS is open to 200 & 300 level Blind students studying any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
- Applicants for the STS category must have completed their second semester 200 level examinations going to 300 level and students currently in their 300 level
- SBS application is open to 200 & 300 level blind students in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
- However, for blind students studying Law, which is a 5 years course, only 300 level students can apply for the MTN Scholarship.
Award Amount
MTN typically awards N200,000 in scholarships to each successful student. However, the foundation has announced that starting from 2024, the scholarship amount will be increased to N300,000.
