Job Title: Palm Plantation Manager

Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced Palm Plantation Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of our oil palm plantation.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for crop production, labor management, cost control, sustainability compliance, and operational efficiency to maximize productivity and profitability.
Responsibilities
Plantation Operations & Crop Management:
- Oversee land preparation, planting, fertilization, pest and disease control, and harvesting to ensure optimal yield.
- Monitor palm growth, fruit quality, and soil conditions to enhance production efficiency.
- Implement best agricultural practices (GAP) and sustainable farming techniques to maintain high productivity.
Workforce & Labor Management;
- Supervise and manage estate workers, field supervisors, and contract laborers.
- Develop training programs for workers on harvesting techniques, safety, and equipment handling.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and promote worker welfare and productivity incentives.
Financial & Cost Management
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, cost control measures, and financial reports.
- Monitor expenses related to fertilizers, pesticides, fuel, machinery, and labor to optimize cost efficiency.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements without compromising quality and sustainability.
Sustainability & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), ISPO, MSPO, and other sustainability standards.
- Implement environmental conservation practices, waste management, and water resource management.
- Monitor carbon footprint, biodiversity impact, and replanting programs.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches) harvesting schedules, transportation, and delivery to processing mills.
- Ensure smooth coordination between field operations and supply chain teams to minimize losses.
- Maintain machinery, equipment, and road infrastructure for seamless operations.
Data Management & Reporting
- Utilize MIS, GIS mapping, and drone technology for plantation monitoring and performance tracking.
- Generate reports on yield trends, productivity KPIs, and operational challenges.
- Provide strategic recommendations for long-term plantation planning and expansion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in oil palm plantation management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of palm oil industry regulations, agronomic practices, and estate management.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Precision Agriculture, GIS mapping, and plantation management software.
- Experience in crop rotation, soil health management, and sustainable agroforestry.
- Familiarity with agricultural mechanization and harvesting equipment.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in remote plantation locations and manage large teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in large-scale commercial palm plantations (10,000+ hectares).
- Understanding of climate resilience strategies and replanting techniques.
- Knowledge of export regulations and palm oil market trend
