We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Haulage Driver (Interstate)
Location: Nigeria
Truck Type: 5-Tonne Truck
Job Summary
- We are seeking experienced and reliable haulage drivers to join our team for interstate operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery:
- Operate a 5-tonne truck to transport goods across various states.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Plan routes effectively to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance team.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the truck.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete and submit trip reports, including mileage and fuel consumption.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures at delivery points.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and company safety policies.
- Avoid accidents and ensure the security of goods during transportation.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving a 5-tonne truck, preferably for interstate trips.
- Strong knowledge of interstate routes and road safety regulations.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed Salary: N120,000 per month.
- Daily Allowance: N7,000 for each day spent on a trip.
Monthly Incentives:
- Minimum Trip Target: N80,000
- Trips: N40,000
- Additional trips (5-10): N8,000 per trip.
- Accident-Free Trips: N50,000 per month.
- No Vehicle Damage Incentive: N50,000 for every 10 trips within 60 days, subject to inspection.
- Driver of the Month Award: N40,000 for exceptional performance and conduct.
