Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities
- Manage the quality team to deliver quality control and quality assurance on the site.
- Develop and implement policies and standards on hygiene and quality.
- Monitor and control the quality of in process and finished products. Conduct all QA audits of suppliers and contractors.
- Coordinate and facilitate NPD activities in liaison with the marketing department.
- Drive continuous improvement of quality. Determine quality of all products and ensure continuous comparison with that of competing companies with a view of improving products.
- Ensure all chemical raw materials to be sourced/purchased are properly Treated/selected via MTR process.
- Prepare and document Quality Control daily/weekly/monthly reports and technical information or data on raw materials/packaging, work-in-process and finished goods to aid factories RCAs and problem-solving session.
EMS, OHSMS and FSSC Responsibilities:
- Implement and comply with EMS/FSSC/OHS requirements relating to environmental aspects and impacts and other policies, procedures and /or regulations applicable to assigned jobs
- Assist the Food Safety Leader to ensure, maintain and sustain FSMS implementation
- Understand and apply the intent of the EMS/FSSC/OHS policy and requirements to assigned jobs
- Understand roles, responsibilities, and the importance of conformity to the EMS/FSSC/OHS requirements.
- Understand the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential impacts associated with their work, and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance
- Understand the potential consequences of departure from specified OHS procedures or legal requirements.
- Ensure prompt escalation (adequate communication) of any food safety related issues to FSTL and or next line of reporting manager
Qualifications
- A Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Food Technology/Food Science
- 8-10 years’ work experience with at least 4yrs in a similar position.
- Ability to withstand stress and pressure.
- Experience as Quality personnel as well as experience in R&D and manufacturing/CAT Technologies.
- Skills in preparation of BOMs formulations and mass/materials balance.
- Knowledge of Stoichiometry, Manufacturing processes and unit operations.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and analytical.
